Synopsis

At Etihad, we’re shaping the next decade of aviation. As part of our Journey 2030 strategy, we’re set to double our fleet, expand our network to over 125 destinations, and triple our passenger numbers.

We’re looking for experienced and passionate Licensed Aircraft Engineers to join our world-class team. This is your opportunity to work across one of the world’s most advanced and diverse fleets — contributing to the innovation and technical excellence powering Etihad’s next chapter.

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer, you will be responsible for performing and certifying maintenance activities in line with Etihad’s authorization policy. You’ll also lead and guide Aircraft Technicians, ensuring all maintenance is carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and technical standards.

Accountabilities

  • Certify own work and the work of others after verifying that tasks have been performed in accordance with approved data and within the scope of authorization.
  • Complete all documentation accurately and on time, in accordance with company procedures.
  • Carry out maintenance in compliance with company, health and safety, and airport regulations.
  • Ensure all materials, parts, tools, equipment, and documentation are prepared at the start of each shift.
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free environment to prevent Foreign Object Damage (FOD).
  • Provide guidance and assistance to Technicians to ensure safe and effective working practices.
  • Ensure equipment and work areas are maintained in a clean, serviceable, and safe condition.
  • Demonstrate a professional approach when interacting with colleagues, stakeholders, and customers.
  • Participate in training and development to enhance technical capability and professional contribution.
  • Adhere to company health, safety, and corporate image standards at all times.
  • Conduct inspections as required on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and complete relevant checklists.
  • Perform daily inspections of company vehicles prior to use and complete the Vehicle Maintenance Inspection form.
  • Ensure all work performed under Etihad’s processes and procedures is completed safely and in line with quality standards.
  • Actively follow and promote the procedures outlined in the Safety & Quality Management Manual (SQMM).
  • Encourage a culture of safety and positive reporting across the team.

Education & Experience

  • High School Leaving Certificate / Diploma / University or College Degree.
  • Valid Aircraft Maintenance License (GCAA / EASA Part-66 / ICAO Type convertible to GCAA).
  • Minimum of two Etihad aircraft type ratings (Level 3) — Boeing 777 / 787 or Airbus 320 / 350 / 380 — with valid company authorization.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a Line or Light Maintenance environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong teamwork mindset with a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
